SM can kill a cleric in 4.8 if cleric doesnt use msup set its even possible to kill a cleric without fear now, the burst SMs got incredibly increased with the new buff, even if cleric goes msup set he will not survive a fearing SM who knows what he is doing.

even still in 4.8 SM > cleric

i`ve seen only one SM (Viicky or something like that), who really rocks (he/she killed me on KOR with CDs, but w/e he/she is rly good).

U barely play ur sm... How can you know

i played SM on test server and saw myself the burst i did on clerics.

Update

This has temporarily been disabled with the 5.0 update. We will be evaluating whether it needs to be re-activated.

Update

The nerf is back with updated numbers and now also includes Bard!

Balance change:
When a Cleric, Chanter or Bard goes above a certain threshold value of Magic Resist or Block, their Healing Boost stat starts to decrease.

Magic Resist: going above 2600 MR will decrease Healing Boost by 0.6 points for every point of MR above the threshold.

Block: going above 4200 Block will decrease Healing Boost by 0.4 points for every point of Block above the threshold.

block for bard, thats new. I would suggest adding the nerf for bard instead Block to MS

Hi everyone, First of all and most important this is not a QQ thread just wanted to show some facts that 5.0 brought us.
In this thread I basically want to hear your earnest opinions, simply because i know many people that it actually do bother them.
Cleric's and Chanter's ability to heal in BGs has been increased accordingly to the new manastones and gear which made them also more tanky, thats what the claim is anyway.
Im going to give some samples of what I tested out:

Hudzie's Stats with full attack/crit build.

Hudzie's DPS on a new manastones build clerics have (aka HP and block):

The Cleric's Stats with the new gear+new manastones build:

As you can see here, the cleric don't rly block much on someone who has legit amount of accuracy compared to someone who uses full attack/crit.
Given on the results of the test i can say that maybe socketing a lil bit more accuracy rather than attack might help to achieve the goal.

Next is Magic resist set test:

Syncopated's Stats with new gear full magical accuracy:

As you can clearly see here, Magic classes are even worse. No need for too much affort to reach the goal and also making quite alot of dmg on their skills without resists.
My main isn't a support but i still don't see the point of the renewed Magic resist and Block nerf with this high stats and damage the classes gained during the 5.0 update while they weren't that OP.
As i mentioned earlier, I want to hear your opinions guys and especially if the GMs/Dev/Admins can give their opinion it would be nice.

This thread wasn't made to insult anyone in any way, I do believe we all have to say something about it so share your opinion please without critisizing/flaming comments.
